I recently purchased a used 2007 Hammerhead SS150 and discovere dc that the rear wiring harness was melted due to the previous owner doing some modifications. I was told that I need to replace the harness but they don’t make it anymore! :( I’m trying to track down a new (to me) harness. Anybody got any tips on how to find one? Thanks for any help!!!

I don't think you will find the original wiring harness for the 150 SS. The machine has been discontinue for years. The closest one you might find would be the Hammerhead GTS 150 or the TrailMaster 150 XRX. But now, even there, the wiring harness will be different from the original one. You should have speakers on your machine and the newer model do not. I know the TrailMaster have a new security feature that you have to push the brake to start the machine with a relay.

Bottom line, even if you get a wiring harness, you will have to make changes on it. Mean you will need to learn the basic wiring and components to make it work and adapt it to your machine.

If you redo the wiring harness yourself, the same apply, you have to learn the basic wiring and components. You have to do one wire at the time and test everything you do as you go to make sure you did it right.

As for the wiring harness melting, this is usually cause by a electrical components, usually lights, that use too much power and the electric system can't support it, this is when the wires start melting.
