Hello Everyone, I'm really needing some guidance. I made an impulse purchase in the summer on an Apollo/Vitacci/Fangpower Blade 150.
I've had nothing but problems from the second week onward. The original engine blew and they sent a new one and the transmission has been a complete mess even with upgraded performance parts. I think my kids didn't break it in properly, and they are too heavy. 300lbs when two people riding, and the property is hilly. My fault totally for buying something underpowered.
I've completely stripped down the motor (very time consuming) and have watched all the Rollingwrench and NCY videos for upgrades, but I keep coming back to the fact those are more for scooters I think and not the heavy frame of the buggy with the weight of the kids. I'm out $3500 with the transmission upgrades so far. The frame, electrical, etc is all good. Is there any way I can get a larger Harbor Freight engine in their and transmission, or any brand engine? I've had a heck of a time with this as it doesn't even have the traditional QJ, it is model number 1P57F. I don't know if I should just buy a replacement crate motor for $400-500 and sell the whole unit, or is there a way to get a bigger motor and mounted with this unit?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
