We finaly have a manual choke kit for the cn and cfmoto 250 engines. I have sent a coulpe of prototypes out a few months agao and with their feed back have made changes to the cable.

I have installed it on a hammerhead and a joyner 250 at the shop and the kit works good. The kit comes with a single hole hold down bracket but I like the stock hold down better even thou the opening is not as big but it does fit ok.

The cable is 66.5 inches long and has a knob with a cable nut on it and can be mounted almost anywhere.

Thanks for the order, its not hard to install. on the stock choke you can unplug it or make a jumper wire between the terminals so the heat sensor will still have a ground.

Well so far im still on the fence. I got it in but im having problem with the needle sticking in the open position and the hold down allows the carb side to flex up. I put a small washer under the hold down bolt to hold the bracket flat and it helped some but its still hanging open. If I take the carb out and hold it in position by hand, its better but in the buggy not so much .I guess it could be my carb causing the binding but the old choke came out fine.

OK i got it figured out. when you pull the cable to the full open stop, its pulling the needle valve out of the "tube" inside the carb and the needle is cocking to the side. if you take the choke out the carb and reset it, its fine as long as you do not open it fully. i didnt see a way to set a stop so i may have to figure out something. this is going on my old blade for my bro in law and i know it will happen often if ic ant come up with a plan.

Hey Maxey
Can you make an L bracket that could limit the travel of the knob

I should've said U bracket
1 side would have clearance hole for the threaded part of the knob

thats kinda what im thinking...im going to have to weld a bracket to the shifter bracket anyway since the cable wont reach the dash. I figured i would put a lid on it to prevent excessive travel.

i used the stock one since it had a screw on both sides that that solved the flex. i made a u bracket and it works fine. went out today and the choke did its job got it started then i manually shut it.
