I've had a gy6 powered buggy for a few months, since new, but the battery keeps going flat and now isnt charging.
I've tested the charging system and it is putting out 14.5 ish volts, it runs fine when i jump start it from the lawn mower and will run off the mower battery fine. But when i load tested the buggy's battery, it dropped straight to ~ 0.5mv when it was turned on (not running the starter motor) compared to ~ 11v from the known good mower battery. I have put the battery on the charger but it is just saying that its full. Is the battery just bad and needs replacing, or is the someting i can do to fix it, i dont realy want to spend the money on a new battery. I've done a couple of mods to it, but nothing that would affect the electrical system.
Sounds like a trashed battery to me. If it will start from the mower battery (mower not running) and not your buggy battery and the buggy battery will not take a charge I would say it has to be the battery.
You can probably take it to an auto parts store and have it tested.
