I bought a used Kandi 250GKA-2 and need to do some maintenance to it. It sat for a year, but fired right up. The chains need tightening and have no idea how. Is there any manuals for this kart? Anyone on here have one of these karts? It also back fires some after hard acceleration, but I think that the carb just needs cleaning. I replace the battery, gas, and plug. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

It is identical to the roketa gk-29. No idea on chains maybe some of the gk-13 boys can chime in.

Not sure either, but do you see any mounting tabs where tensioners may have been?

if it is the same as the 13, then it is like a quad or atc. but the other style, I don't know. You will usually find your manual on the website of the company.
If not, search under the manual section on here. You will find something.

Post some pictures, People here seems glad to help.

Ah, I see. You will have to move the motor up to increase tension. There should be a rod you can lengthen or shorten. Does it look like this?

He has a 250 that uses independent chains to drive each wheel I think. The picture you have is a 150, and you are right about how to adjust it, but the 250 will be different. On the Joyners, you loosen the motor mount bolts under the frame and slide the motor forward.

I would need to see a pic of the rear sprocket, chain and axel assemble to tell if it was like mine.

That is the buggy I got Izzought. I looked on the manufacture website Kandi and found nothing. I even called and left a message twice and no return call. Also emailed and nothing. Maybe they are off for the holiday. I took the rear wheel off and I see the 2 holes for the spanner wrench, but dont have one. Where can I pick one up? It also shifts hard, think that could be cause of the chains being loose? Anyone on here have a service manual for this kart a 250GKA-2?

I use a open end oil filter wrench on mine, just loosen the bolts and turn the part where the spanner wrench holes are.

The 3 allen head bolts on the cam stud axel. You dont have to take them all the way out just loosen them.

Many of the manufactures/importers aren't much help, but you got BuggyNews now.

I have those manuals, they don't tell me how to do the maintenance work. I am going to stop by a kart shop tomorrow and see what they say. Thanks for all your guys help so far.

Just loosen the 3 bolts at the end of the trailing arm.

Well I got in contact with Kandi and they put their mechanic on and he told me how to do it. It is just like you guys said. I asked him about the tool and he said the tool sucks, just use long bolts and a larger screw driver. I figured out that you use 2- 3/8" extensions and a large screw driver. I sprayed some PB Blaster to loosen things up. Thanks again for help with this.
