I just inherited my dad's 2009 T2 with only 750 miles on it. I'm going through and restoring it. The steering is like driving a 1970 Buick. There's about 1/4 turn of slop. I see there was a steering box upgrade but the guy who originally made the part passed away. Any other ideas? It seems the slop is coming from the first foot of the steering column. Thanks!!

Some guys use the electric power steering units out of GM/Saturn vehicles. VW rails use the same centerload rack and pinion box as the buggies, but I have not looked at the UTV's to know what crosses over without fab work.

There's a very fine line between nostalgia and functionality. Hopefully you can get something figured out.
