entering the home stretch of my 650 joyner swap. G10 joyners are a dime a dozen but i havent seen many bolted to the stock joyner drivetrain. I fabricated the adapter plate, motor mounts, exhaust and adapted the flywheel with a spacer and a new hole pattern. also made some other changes to the machine like moving the fuel tank and radiator. currently waiting on the machine shop to balance the bottom end with the 2cyl flywheel. we bought this sand spider brand new in 2006 and made these plans not long after. glad i finally made time for it and looking forward to driving it with an appropriate amount of power and torque.

Interesting that you used the stock transmission. That transmission is used on 2G24, F8B and F10A engines which I believe are all lower rated than the G10.

Was it hard mounting the G10 in? i have a chance of getting one with a 5sp for 500.00 but don't know if i'm capable of doing the swap

time will tell how the trans holds up no doubt. never had any issues with drivetrain over the years with plenty of abuse so we will see. any chance there is a good service manual available for this transmission? would love to have better info on it

as far as the difficulty, i chose this route because i had the engine but no trans or flywheel. it fits really well, a little oil pan clearance. custom motor mounts and exhaust was all i had to do to make it fit. i would say welding and fab work required if you plan to go it alone. and in your case you will have to sort out custom axles and shift linkage. if you look around a bit there are a number of people on here that have done the g10 with trans swap for a better idea what your in for.

The transmission is a Suzuki F Series 4-speed. Maybe search the micro car sites for a good manual since I have not seen one on the buggy side.
