I hope someone can help me. I have a Maxxam 150cc 2r and I am not extremely mechanical. I have had this thing worked on about 8 times. It will run for a while and then something electrical will go wrong. First it was the coil. Then the stator. Then the starter motor. Then smoke from the connector to the stator. Then a ground. Then a plug. etc. etc. Now, it tries to turn over but just wont start. After two hours with a volt meter and random replacement parts my mechanic said "I have no idea why it wont start" and quit on me... I either want to replace everything electrical or get rid of this thing (which sucks because I really like it). Here's my question:
Where is the best place to get everything electrical for the kart? I dont want to buy crap... I want really good parts from a reputable dealer or store. I need to get a coil, plug, stator, starter, CDI, rectifier, and any other thing that can be replaced. (The battery is brand new and seems to work fine.) Where is the best online store to buy from and what parts work best??

Thanks!

Hope it helps.

I can't really confirm or deny that; I imagine it varies from provider to provider. I would imagine Amazon would be better than ebay, but that's just a guess. Truthfully, I wouldn't be surprised if all of these components come from the same supplier.

If you're wanting to avoid Amazon, you could try gopowersports and order each component individually.

Alternatively, you can try to find just about any 150cc Chinese parts kart, and you should be able to swap electronics.

Do you know how to use a multimeter?

The link to amazon is for a 6 coils stator and your machine should have a 8 coils stator. There's also other difference in the wiring. A 6 coils stator is not enough power for the go kart, you need at least a 8 coils.

Did you add lights to your machine? You know the one that suck a lots of power.
