Im pretty sure I saw primitive camping, and if you camp it brings the riding price down a little.

They do have camping. 2 electric sites available $45, must make reservation, no water hook ups, no dump station. Primitive is $30, a large grass area, she said plenty of room, no reservations needed.

So it's $30/ day to camp? Does that include riding? Plus the IL sticker.

According to RiderPlanet.com ,no permits are required for either, however Hillbillie ranch seems to be members only unless they are having an event,in which case it is open to the public..... Karl.

Heartland has two riding areas. One is private and does not require more than Heartland's pass. The other section is DNR property and requires the IL tag on top on Heartland access fees. Perhaps there is another way to access the DNR riding area without paying twice.

Illinois DNR still has not finalized the ATV license and I believe all of it has been squashed. I am a DNR license vendor and it is not available to sell.
