Does the color of the spark plug tell you if you are rich or lean? How does it run without the air filter verses with it installed? What happens when you run partial choke verses wide open? Do you have a clear fuel filter where you can see the gasoline flowing? Does it run out?

Lifan has been around for a while building these engines due to the popularity of pit bikes. Do a search for "lifan 125cc semi" to get the auto clutch version. It will pop up from many sellers and is also on Amazon and eBay.

That style of engine is available in a 125cc 4-speed which may be better than the current one. I'm not sure how much fabrication is required for motor mounts, but the unit is very similar in size.

The crank side of the transmission holds your variator. Typically you can use an impact wrench (electric or air) to free the nut. If you do not have one, you can remove the spark plug and feed nylon rope into the cylinder. This will prevent the piston from fully cycling and allow you to remove the n...

There are different sized GY6 cases that require different length belts. You should be using 743 20 30 belt and not the longer 835 or 842. This is a common oops you will find caused by the previous owner replacing the belt with the wrong one.

Verify that cam is indexed properly by putting a straw into the sparkplug hole and making sure the the cam is positioned at TDC of the ppiston. I never bothered to check lash though the duration.

Try to adjust the arm that goes to the transmission. If you cannot get enough movement even with full adjustment, you will need to split the transmission from the engine to see if there is damage inside. Download the Joyner manual to see all parts: http://joyner-usa.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/65...

Remove the CVT cover and jack up the rear of the buggy. When the engine is idling, the belt should be deep inside the front pulley and at the top of the rear pulley. As you apply throttle, the clutch should start to engage and the rear wheels will spin. When you increase engine speed even more, the ...

So others can follow what is going on, here is the translation: [quote]If you understand, I'll write it to you like this, it's all folded, and when I pull the clutch lever, I wonder if the clutch bearing is too far away and it only takes place at the end and then it touches the pressure plate, how c...

Start a thread under the heading that matches the closest to your problem. My guess is that the roller weights were knocked out of the ramps in the variator and the transmission is not shifting.

The fuel enricher requires power to heat up and shut off the extra fuel going through the carburetor. This may be your source of smelling a rich mixture of gasoline. If your lights have not modified, verify that you do not have a short in lighting circuit causing the rectifier to fail. If you did re...

If you have fuel, air, spark and compression, the only thing I can think of would be the plug wires are in the wrong order or your timing is way out of wack. Look at Suzuki F8B engines for better references. Even though most were carbureted, you should at least be able to find the firing order and h...

First step would be to disconnect the linkage and make sure you actually can shift the transmission into those gears manually. If you cannot, the transmission needs to come out of buggy and be inspected for damage. If the gears go in place manually, you will need to see if this custom linkage has ad...
