In your picture of the red reg stuffed in the carb, look at the center of your picture. See the cam chain tensioner> It has 2 bolts holding it down with a screw in the middle. Once you take the bolts out you will have to remove it. Be carefull, tap it lightly, there is a gasket under it that you do ...

It also has a hose connected to it. You don't have to take the hose off, just roll it on top where the carb was.

The valve cover is the silver cover with 4 8mm bolts. Its the part of the engine that is closest to the seat you took out.

All this stuff is easy once you do it once. I am glad I did. My 4 year old son (Brody) loves to take this thing apart. He loves to get greasey. He is a good helper and he is learning alot. Great father son stuff. One of the best purchases I have made for that kind on thing.

I must say, with good instructions, I was able to fix my problem in about 20 minutes. It now starts right up and no more tic,tic,tic,tic,tic,tic,tic,tic,tic $2.49 for feeler gauges, not bad. OK, I changed out the cam. It is harder to start now, when it is started, I hear a ticking noise. What kind of tool do I need to adjust these valves? Any info would be great.

Losen the clamp, take tha carb off. You will need those nuts off to get the plastic cover off the top.

OK, it's in!! :D :roll: It wasn't so bad after all. It took me longer to take my passanger seat out than it did to change out the cam. It also started right up. I was very happy. The TDC is not very clear on my Sahara. It is the same as the Blade. Steve's post really helped out. I can't wait to try ...
