We will be riding at St. Joe's on June 11-14th. Got spot 14 if anyone is interested in camping and riding!
Hello. I'm new to buggy news. I have a GTS150 that I ride around down in NE Arkansas. I have seen a lot of talk from everyone here about St.Joe park in Missouri and your ride scheduled in June 2020. I don't want to intrude but is this invitation open or just a small group of friends that live near there? Thanks

Its always an open invite! Please come down and introduce yourself! St. Joes is a great place to ride! We are going to have a community dinner Saturday night and you are free to join! I already have a few friends and family coming down that weekend have took lot 14, 3 and 4. I would highly recommend going to the website and reserving a spot as they go fast. https://mostateparks.com/park/st-joe-state-park .
A couple things... must have a helmet and must have a orange flag and whip. You can buy flags/whips there for fairly cheap. Riding is $10 a day per vechicle. Camping pricing depends on where you stay but is still rather cheap.

Thanks so much! My daughter only lives an hour away but I may reserve a spot and stay there. On a side note. I'm looking for a good clutch and variator to replace my current one thats slipping. Any suggestions? I dont mind putting the money up if its worth it but don't want to waste it. There are just so many to choose from and so varied prices.

I always ran the stock clutch on the GY6 buggies, but did run a slightly oversized 115mm variator (did not help much). The trick is to use lighter variator weights (Dr Pulley 10g rollers or 12g sliders) and heavier sprung main contra spring (Red Koso) in your clutch pulley. If CVT tuning is not enough, see if you can fit a 39t axle sprocket to drop your gearing.

I have never ridden the trails at St. Joe. What would be the best setup for those trails? Is there a lot of hills? Should I set-up for low-end torque or somewhere in the middle? Don't want to setup low and get left behind with no top end...

Really depends, St.Joes is almost like a fish bowl. big open center for speed and trails that goes around it. We tend to stick to the open because i like speed however the trails are for the most part pretty gentle

I appreciate the guidance and I've rented spot 16 for the 12th and 13th. I look forward to meeting some with you guys in person and seeing the different buggies that show up.
