I finally got started. I am building a 150cc buggy for my son. I want it to be bigger than his 50cc but smaller than a normal 150cc. It will be a single seater, independent rear, high torque buggy.

Jabo, you could maybe do something like this, try to intersect the braces etc were another tube ends....Not sure if this is the optimal way, but i wouldn't be affraid to put my kids in it.... :D

Jabo, do you have your IRS parts picked out yet?
If you do, what are you using?

In one of the pictures you can see that I made a set of a-arms. It will be a single a-arm with a bearing carrier welded to the end. I will have a axle go from that to a center axle connected on both sides with a u-joint. So basically, I will have a 8" center axle with a sprocket in the center and a u-joint connected on each side. From there will be a 15" axle going out through the bearing carrier at the end of the a-arm and the hub will be mounted to the end of that. Does that make sense? I think it will work...

Yeah, I know I need to take advantage of it now. When he gets to his teen years I'm sure he won't want to hang out with dad any more.
