07 Kandi KG-250A final drive

Ok, so I've read several posts, and I haven't found what I'm looking for. I inherited this buggy from a friend. He did give me a 212 Predator motor with it. It has the CN250cc motor. The final drive gears are completely gone and the crankcase side of the clutch housing has a hole in it where the reduction gears are.
So I have searched and searched and found the gears I needed, ordered them and recieved them. Only to find out they don't fit. I think they are to small. I'm trying to decide if i can bypass those gears and just weld a pulley on the output shaft to the fwd/rev gearbox or not.
Also if i cant fix the setup I have, will the 212cc Predator be enough for my buggy. (Please refer to pictures) any help would be appreciated.
