10 P.S.I. Wow. Are you intercooled? Did you change the thermostat? Are you running a journal turbo or a bearing. What turbo have you found to fit the performance that you desire? 20 question HUH! How is your turbo lag?

I noticed the engine is fuel injected with a fuel pressure regulator. Did you change the regulator to a pressure regulator that increases fuel pressure as the boost increases? A good pressure regulator is probably less expensive than changing out injectors. Here are top notch fuel pumps and regulators.

Hey Pete, now I dont want to sound like an a$$, but I cant let out all my secrets. It took some real study to get this stuff correct. I am working on an intercooler. It is a double bearing turbo with water cooling. Lag is not bad , need to have rpm above 1900 and hold onnnnnnnnnn! About three months to figure the out the fuel system. Its a bypass system. The piece I use is top shelf @ 400.00. That's why the kit is in my opinion is the best , It has the best parts $ can buy. Later W.C.[/img]

You might be able to do the "basic" kit for that, but I will let you in on a little secret , the lowsie factory manifold costs you about 12 to 15 hp on the dyno with the turbo. When your working with small hp that hurts. You realy need the header and thats the most expencive part to build. Later W.C.[/url]

No problem. I fully understand. I can figure it out. I have already consulted my Turbonetics,Garrett and Tial friends as to the correct mapping. An increasing fuel pressure regulator should take care of the fuel problem.

Having designed and sold Z car turbo systems, I know the consumer has lots of options that will affect the price dramatically. For instance the GT"R" turbo, water cooled and twin roller bearing, internal or external waste gate, fuel pump, pressure regulator, custom made T304 turbo header, RC injectors and on and on and on it can go.

A guestiment for a very BASIC "kit" for the do it yourself type person should cost around $1,500.00.
A basic kit would consist of a journal bearing turbo, oil lines, T25 flanges, 1bar MAP, rising rate fuel pressure regulator, boost gauge and plumbing for the exhaust. A BASIC kit would be for the proficient skilled person that can follow directions, weld, or have a shop weld for them.

As we both know the sky is the limit as to what one can spend. I have spent way more than $1,500.00 just on a turbo before.

Thats good pete I wish you good luck, The market needs a low cost kit . My kit is a complete bolt on ,that is all cromex coated and I sell plenty of them, but some mechanical people are looking for a better deal that they can get there hands dirty in there shop installing it. I know thats what I enjoy .

Heck boy's! I can't hang with that level of techie talk, but I am uttely convinced you both know your stuff.

It does my heart good to see a couple people take a good hard run at some nice aftermarket upgrade options for buggies.
