Two areas: Tuttle Creek ORV Area & the Spillway Cycle area just north of Manhattan.
"The Spillway Cycle area is open to bicycles and to all 2-, 3-, and 4-wheeled motorized vehicles with a wheelbase under 66 inches. This measurement is taken from the center of each axle. Dune buggies, four-wheel drive vehicles, and other machines with a wheel base greater than 66 inches are welcome to use the Tuttle Creek ORV Area near Randolph."
"The Tuttle Creek ORV Area is located 2 miles southeast of Randolph, Kansas with access from Riley County Road 893 to Secrest Road, then 1 ½ miles east. This 310-acre park is open to all motorized and non-motorized vehicles. Miles of trails with steep climbs, sharp turns, and rugged terrain await the off-road enthusiast."
Sounds fun!

You're not too far south of me, I'm just south of Louisburg.
Not sure on a date, thinking sometime in late June before it gets really hot. I was thinking about the weekend of June 23rd - maybe camp at Fancy Creek State Park just north of the park. The Country Stampede (http://www.countrystampede.com/home.shtml) is that weekend but all the activity should be down south of the dam and in Manhattan. It should be quite up around Randolf - not sure if you are familiar with the area, I went to school at K-state so I pretty familiar with Tuttle Creek.
If that doesn't work out the next free weekend I'll have is July 21.

Not sure. My wife's supposed to give birth to our second child the week before so...... I've also got a place about and 1 1/2 hours south of me in Oklahoma we're talking about goin to real soon. I've been there with my quad several times. Lots of rock crawlers, jeeps and such. Haven't been there since I got my buggy, but oughta be pretty cool. It's down by Grand Lake so there's water if you get too hot. _________________ .....mmmm bacon.

Hey would you guy's be interested in putting something to gether in the next couple of weeks?????? From what I understand Tuttle Creek would be a great place to ride. Some other folks I work with ride their quads there and say it is great.
I am trying to get some buggy riders from K.C. to go there, and for them it's just picking a time to go.

glad to see some kansans starting to talk. i have been to tuttle creek several times, good place to ride, pretty rocky, but have lots of trails. listed at over 300 acres, went once early this spring right after we got our crossfire, then it flooded pretty good in late may, haven't been back since, but sure it's ok now. _________________ yerfdog, jetted, exhaust, rollers, rear axle mod, sprocket, ft spindles, fenders, tires, shocks, stero, xtra gas tank & battery, hood, side panels, top, removable windshield

Looks like we may have the beginning of a Kansas buggy club!
Alright I'll be the first to recommend a couple of dates to travel to Manhattan - which is best for everyone:
Saturday July 21st or the 28th? _________________ Twister Hammer Head 250 - 2006
