alas, I don't think we are going to make it, I haven't got any work done on the crossfire and Donnie fell and hurt his back, he just got out of the hosp and I don't think he's quite ready to boogie right now, sorry. My better half wants to go play, something about looking for white frozen rocks, lol. Hopefully we can get it together for next time. _________________ yerfdog, jetted, exhaust, rollers, rear axle mod, sprocket, ft spindles, fenders, tires, shocks, stero, xtra gas tank & battery, hood, side panels, top, removable windshield

Oh man! Hope Donnie is feeling better soon. A hurt back sucks!
We'll Mike and I'll be sure to give a full ride report. It should be interesting with the snow. I'm trying to rig up a camera mount so maybe I can get some video.
Mike - we will leave as early as possible Sat morning (I'd like to leave here around 5 - that'll put us there around 7:30 or 8:00). Going to take page out of your SOP, we'll set up our tent first then go riding. Where do you want to camp, on top of the hill like last time?
Also, we'll bring chili for dinner - need any firewood? _________________ Twister Hammer Head 250 - 2006

I too am sorry to hear about Donnie, tell him to take it easy and heal up,and we'll sure miss having you guy's there.
Tell Jane we'll sure keep a lookout for those white frozen rocks .
John,I'm thinking up on the hill like last time. Of course that will be depending the ground condition,I mean I don't have a problem going off road, but the park ranger may have other ideas .
If you have any firewood you might want to bring it. I haven't decide when I'll be heading that way.... Friday night or Sat. morning. It depends on if I work or not Friday.

I'm not backing out yet John, but I am paying close attention to Manhattan's weather. Especially after they shut down I-70 last weekend. So far they been calling for snow everyday this week, except Sat. I haven't found any totals yet, when I do I'll let you know.

I just checked again, and I think the most they are supposed to get was 1 in..... soooo,I just finished pulling out my trailer, got my car packed, just need to put my battery back in my buggy, and load it and my firewood. I guess that makes us a go!
I am however thinking I might want to check out the electric sites now. Just in case I may need to use my battery charger. I have been having trouble with my new battery, and discovered it was dry,so I added some more acid and charged it,up and so far it is still holding a charge. . _________________ I'LL REST WHEN I'M DEAD!! Yes, there are polar bears in Kansas - or at least three Kansans crazy enough for a weekend of riding in late December. Mike (WETSU), my son and I had a great weekend at Tuttle Creek OVR. Temps were on the chilly side. I think the high never made it past freezing. The camping was a bit rough (yes we camped in tents) - low temp was in the single digits Saturday night. All worked out though and we had a great two days of riding.
I continue to be impressed with our buggies. We went on about 90% of the trails we would normally go on when it was a dry. It wasn't with out challenges - we had to think a bit more about our routes than usual but as I said it was a great time by all.
Saturday there were a few Jeeps in the park. We got a couple of "those are cool - did you make those" comments about our buggies from the Jeepsters. Sunday we had the whole park to ourselves until the very end of the day when someone showed up with a brand new ATV. Again we got the, "that is cool!". I could be mistaken but I think I sensed a bit of regret in his voice about his recent ATV purchase while looking our buggies over.
Here are a few pics of the weekend. I had (past tense) cool videos too - a couple of great hill climbs and bunch of us runninng on the trails. When I went to download the video files to my computer, they were corrupted on the SD card.

Thats to bad about the videos John,I'm sure some of them were really good .After watching tonights news... I see we could've seen more mud,and somewhat warmer temps had we waited another week. But why!
I have a few videos I may try to post them later,my wife actually liked them,at least I think she did .
It was a good time though, even if some of those hills were slick, and steep,oh and long. It was well worth the frostbite . No really, the riding was crazy, the chili was good, and the fire was hot. The snow was deep in some places, and to be the first to blaze the trails, and trying to remember....was that a jeep hole full of water, and deep gooey mud......or is that just shallow rut??????? AAAAAAGGH THIN ICE! Yes I did stop before it got ugly . _________________ I'LL REST WHEN I'M DEAD!!
