Kansas Riding Area - anybody been here?

Ok gang,the bash is over,for the most part I had a good time,between working on Daves buggy,then mine going down,I think I might have gotten to ride for about 3 hrs. From FRI. evening to Sat. afternoon. I have no pics since I forgot my camera Embarassed

.
Anyway I think John is wanting to get a Tuttle ride near the end of July. He made mention of it at the Bash. I'm not sure of the date. Think about it and let us know.

Sorry you didn't get to ride much Mike. I also worked on more buggies than my own. I lost count!

I will say overall St. Joe kicks a$$! It was nice to go up hills without dodging boulders!

I was thinking about Saturday, July 26. Might also be camping at 'Fancy Creek' that night.

It really is a good place to ride! The real gripe is.... if I had been with your group I would have ridden more. I got home tore it down screwed up my stator, trying to get to my stater-clutch,and discovered that all that was wrong was....... The nut that holds my starter-clutch in place, had come loose!!!!!!! And since I didn't have the right puller,and broke the one I had....well it will now cost me $75.00 to replace my stator!!!!!!! Evil or Very Mad

I am ready to ride again!!!!!!!!!! I think I will leave Dave at home,I don't want to listen to the whining,or the crying...."MY BUGGY WON'T GO HOME WITH ME IF I CAN'T GET IT TO RUN RIGHT"! Wanted to drive a spike through my head! Beating a dead horse

So what about the rest of you guy's????? are you able to ride or not???????

Wetsu - sorry to hear about your starter. No offense, but yea - leave Dave at home. Even Calvin thought he was a bit whinny.

Is it going to be just you and I - anyone else?

Just thought I'd give you guys fair warning - I may not be able to make it on the 26th. I'm having buggy problems now and not 100% sure I'll have them resolved before then. Can't go riding if the buggy won't start!

I'll keep you posted.

Sorry guys, I won't be able to make it this weekend.

Buggy still isn't running right. So far I've cleaned the carb and drained the oil. Next step will be to adjust the valves and replace the choke. While cleaning the carb I noticed a part of the choke that goes in the carb was broken, this may be the root cause of the problems.

John, that bites about your buggy! I know the feeling. the up side of this is I don't think anyone is going Wink

I haven't heard from any of those guy's Question

I'm not a big fan of riding alone,especially out there. Good luck with the buggy!

Ok lets try this again..... does anyone out here want to try to get together at Tuttle creek for a ride in the next month or two??? My buggy is running just fine and my backyard is getting way to small.

John I hope you got yours fixed,Bryan,I hope you and Donny are healed up,and I'm sure Jane could use a few more rocks! Very Happy
