Thanks for the update Jim. I had my boot kit with me. Didn't need it though. Only got about 80 miles on the buggy when the rear tire shredded and put a hault to my riding. Thank goodness I had the 250 to play with.

Thanks again.

-Britt

Used split boot. Took it out this past weekend. It was good for about 20 miles. Then started losing grease out the seam. Jim, have you had any trouble with yours? I bought another one and might try to install it this weeknd before the big Thanksgiving trip. I tried to Silcone the seam but that didn't hold up for very long. Other than that buggy ran AWESOME!

Over a thousand miles on the split boot and no problems.

You do have to use plastic ties and not metal as there is a lot of heat transferred from the trans and the metal started to cut the boot.

Maybe I don't go as fast as you. LOL

I am going to install another one this weekend. I will see how it goes. I will try plastic and instead of the metal bands.

BTW, I am sure you go plenty fast!

Thanks

-Britt

Got new boot installed. Took it out over Thanksgiving. Put about 150 miles on it. Lost a little grease through the seam but thats about it. Jim, have you noticed any grease loss through the seam?

How about an update on those split boots? How are they holding up 6 months later?

Will the 1100 boot fit the Joyner 650 SS?

Thanks, DAG
