Looking at the buggy poll, I can tell there are allot of us guys with I'm guessing the 2 more common bolt patterns used with buggies. Especially the 150's (4-110mm and the 4-137mm).

I thought we might want to post the rims we selected, and how they looked mounted on the buggy.

Please include the part number if you have it.

I have the ITP brushed steel rims, but wouldnt mind seeing some nice aluminum rims too.....

FRONT: (ITP's)
RIM'S - TR ACC STL WHL 10X5 2+3 4/110 part #370845.
TIRES - TR ACC HOLESHOT XCR 21X7X10 part #370988.

REAR: (ITP's)
RIM'S - TR TIR STL WHL 10X8 3+5 4/137 part #370844.
TIRES - TR ACC HOLESHOT XCT 22x11x10 part #370975.

Good idea to group this info, Talonman!
The Dune's stock rear rims are 10x8 and are offset an inch narrower. Most aftermarket rims are 0 or + offset. To keep stock track width you need to turn the rim backwards. I drilled a hole for a 2nd valve and put the original one in reversed so it wouldn't get cut or caught on anything.
This means you can't use any cool looking cast rims because they can't be mounted backwards. The Douglas and ITP T-9 spun aluminum rims look good front and back.

I can't find a part number for the Douglas Red Label aluminum wheel I have but it fits the Dune (4/137, 5+3 offset), is light and not real expensive ($60 each or so).

front rims-ITP C-series, type 4, 12x7, 2+5 offset, 4-110
front tires-Carlisle AT 489, 23x8x12

back rims-ITP C-series, type 4, 12x7, 2+5 offset, 4-137
back tires-Carlisle AT 489, 23x10x12

I use to have mudlite 26x12x12 on the back rims but they seemed to zap a lot of power out of the kart (extra weight, gearing change), with the smaller carlisle I can slide around better with a lot more zip.

Just a little plug for www.motosport.com

I bought 4 new rims and 4 new tires for my 2006 GK-13 250cc buggy. I got 10X5 rims (blue series-4/110mm) for the front with 22x7x10 Kenda Klaw tires and 10x8 rims (black series-4/137mm) for the rear with 22x11x10 Kenda Klaw tires.

All this for $340.00! This included all mounting, valves stems, shipping, balancing and NO taxes!! They have a package deal and you have to call them in order to get the deal.

Not bad and great customer service to boot.

I got the wheels and front tires from my local ATV dealer and the rear tires from ATV direct. Fronts are ITP 10" 3+2 4/110 w/ 21x7x10 trac stars and the rears are AMS 10" cast aluminum sport ATV wheels, 4/137 3+5 w/ 22x11x10 trac stars. As mentioned above I had to drill out the stud holes a tad. I also had to grind out the center hole a bit to get it to fit over the ridge on the axle hub. 4 Tires and rims, lug nuts, chrome valve stems and center caps for the rear wheels ran about 580 plus tax. Mounted the tires myself at the dealership. Could have saved a bunch by reusing the steel rear wheels, using regular valve stems and skipping the center caps, not to mention cheaper tires, but I wanted the bling and I really wanted to try the radials. They bite great, get me through the mud, and I swear the ride is smoother!

Just as an FYI for us, how much clearance do you have on the front tire on full lock? Can you show me a picture? I am looking to go bigger but my fear is 22" is as big as you can go.

When you say "full lock", are you referring to turning the wheels all the way to one side????

If so, I can get a picture, but not until Saturday. I believe I have plenty of room before it hits, but need to double check.

Yeah, all the way till it stops. I am trying to gain ground clearance as the trails I run get deeply rutted from full size trucks and 4x4's running on them.

I measured the gap off the standard 19's and there seemed to be 3" all day. So I took off the wheel and measured from the hub and could only mesure 11" from the hub to the frame which would equal 22".

With the first measurement I was all geared up for some nice 25's on ITP's, to give me around 3" lift at the front, but I am having to measure again.

My last resort and probably the best option is to talk nicely to the local powersports shop and see if I can loan some wheel/tire combo's and try them.

If you could take a picture I would appreciate it.

BTW have you gone through lifting the suspension yet? Rotate the rear bracket and move the front bracket inwards?
