Burningas - I would estimate that Little Sahara is about 300 miles from Las Vegas - mostly freeway, except for the last 30 miles. Where are you riding? Nellis or Dumont? I've been studying Dumont for a possible trip in February - how's the weather there at that time? How far is Dumont from Las Vegas and what route do you take, Baker or Pahrump?
The front Far East sand tires are OK. It's just the rear paddles that suck. WEST_COAST - I've been watching those ITP SandStars for awile - they look like they would do the job except they're a little narrower than I would prefer. jaxn- Presidents day (weekend of) is huge for dumont! that would be a good weekend to visit. lotsa eye candy as far as dollars spent for the sake of having furn. busy though so the dunes get rutted up pretty good. weather, you cant beat it long sleeves during the day and jackets with beanie at night! something to think about. as far as little sahara goes already making plans for late spring to early summer. I have been to coral pink in utah during the summer months. not very exciting. It would be well worth the extra drive for the vast dune-age. Nellis dunes is primarily place where i would go to make sure any changes or an after season pre trip make sure that everything is going to work kinda place. very close to the house not any fun. dumont is probably an hour and a half for me from the opposite side of the city. and I go through pahrump. shorter trip crappy middle of the desert 2 lane road but going to baker from here you have to conquer baker grade. a hill that takes out several vehicals during the summer months from over heating alone.
as far as the rear paddles I would have to agree with you. I like a wider foot print to the sand. More grip when the sand worm becomes a turbonated viper!

Oh Ya, the new header bolted right in. It is the stock header and is made by Joyner. Pretty nice peice. Comes chromed which really looks good now in burn purple. I was just ticked that mine didn't have one to start with. I made a 2" pipe to the replace the 1" that came on mine stock. That made the same mount of power difference for 10% the cost. That stuff I think is on the first page of this thread. If you don't have a welders take your car the a muffer shop and have them redo that 1" preice. That was one of hte cheapest mods I have ever done that made a huge difference. If I new that the Joyner pipe wouldn't make that big of a differnce over the one I made I would not have bought it but it does look good.
Got my new Sway A Way shocks put on. The Weather has sucked ever since so I only have a bought 25 miles on them so far. They really livened up the front end now they actually work. I need to spend so time adjusting them, then I will post a review.
We are hoping to go the Glamis here is a few weeks. Does anyone have some suggestion on where to camp (with the family)? _________________ Sure Beats Worken'

I just put my new joyner header on I order the header the cat and the two gaskets only . it was $489.00 dollars och but it is a must have thing it needs it, so if you have the stock 1" pipe start saveing your money it worth it
you will need to find two bolts and nuts to connect the cat pipe to the header and your stock muffler will fit on the other end fine but you will need to loosen the muffler brace and make some ajustments to line up the new pip new pipe.
I went to the dealer and saw I was missing two other things there is two small heat shealds one on the back firewall right next to the header and one bent pice of flat metal to cover the one sencer on the trans under the header .
These are not hard to make I just made my own after seeing the ones at the dealer . save your self some cash . I would put up pixs but i dont no how
