Well, just checked the weather. It looks like it may rain on friday but not saturday. Only a 30% chance on friday. I'm not saying that its not going to be muddy up there, but at least you won't be totally soaked now.

I just spoke with Blue at EMRPaintball.

He said that we are still on for Saturday.
There will be no charge for Saturday's ride.
We'll need to keep in mind that he has some paintball events that will be going on Saturday, so we may not get to use those sections of the park that the Paintballers are using.

He said they got 12-18 inches of snow on the ground right now. Which means down in the ravine areas we may not be able to get down into and out of. He's going to take a few of us around the park in his jeep to show us the park first. Then we can ride the buggies around.

All of us will need to have a signed waiver completed. If you're under 18 it has to be notarized. I think my son is the only one that this pertains to on Saturday. I've got him covered as we have a notary here in the office.

The cages and seat belts have to be in good working order for Saturday's ride.

He said that meeting between meeting around 10:30 am was good for him. So as long the weather cooperates we're are still on..

=====[ Weather Forcast ]=====
Detailed Local Weather Forcast
Today: A mix of clouds and sun with gusty winds. Cold. Temps nearly steady in the low to mid 30s. Winds NW at 20 to 30 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Cold. Low 8F. Winds NNE at 10 to 15 mph.

Tomorrow: Sunny, along with a few afternoon clouds. High 41F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph.
Tomorrow night: Overcast with rain showers at times. Low 34F. Winds S at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

Thursday: A few morning showers. Highs in the upper 50s and lows in the upper 30s.

Friday: Considerable cloudiness. Highs in the upper 40s and lows in the low 30s.

Saturday: Chance of showers. Highs in the upper 40s and lows in the low 30s
==============================================
I like the temperature (Upper 40s), but the wet stuff could mean a rough day.

I'm going to leave it up to you as individuals as to wether or not you'll go if it's raining.

As long as the weather holds and doesn't get too bad, I'll be going.

I'd like to get confirmation from those going. Please send an email to scout@northeastbuggy.com. I'll reply with my cell phone number so that you can get in touch with me directly.

There's a new thread under our 2007 Heading specifically for the Scouting Trip.

Here's a quick link to it.
http://www.buggynews.com/topic9024.html

I may see if we can move the other posts re: The scouting trip to the that heading. I don't know if it can be done nor do I know if they'll let me do it.

After the trip we'll probably setup the a few more threads to break out the stuff we need to get done.

One thing is for sure...

WE WILL HAVE A NORTHEAST BUGGY BASH THIS YEAR

It may not be as organized as last year.
It may not be at the "best" location.
It may or may not have a place to camp.
But, we will have one.
I don't care if it's just a bunch of us getting together for the weekend.

We have to keep this mindset when we talk to Blue at EMR. I get the feeling they're going to be playing hardball with us re: cost and organization.

We'll see how it goes and proceed from there.
I'm just psyched to get to...

1) Get to spend some quality time with my son
2) Get to ride my buggy somewhere new
3) Get to meet some of you guys.

Hey guys and any females out there,

My husband, Whiplash, and I plan on going to the 2nd annual bash. I have a Twister 150 CC and Whiplash has a 1600 CC VW Buggy. It's not a definite if he will bring his buggy because he has to do some major work to it from last year's bash. (He blew the motor on what I call a "suicide ride".) He has a roll cage and seatbelts and there wasn't a problem with him bringing it last year....so hopefully there won't one this year. I just hope he's able to fix it!!

I'll check back for details and thanks for organizing this. It will be a great time!! Last year was awesome (minus me nosediving my Twister and living up to my user id name of Whiplash's Girl). Chiropractor loved me for all the co-pays...but no damage done...and I'm in the clear!!

Looking forward to meeting more strangers that like to speed in their dune buggy's and do doughnuts!! If you check out the video from last year, I'm the female that was in the buggy at the end of the clip that didn't get dirty!! Go figure????

Hey DJ Friz...are you coming to this with your wife???

See ya'!

I can't believe the VW isn't back together yet! I plan to be there this year as well. I think brother Bill will make it to. You really have to share your secret about staying clean though.
