I finally have an answer about the fireworks and opening the park on Thursday for us.

I called the Sheriff's dept. and they said that since it was on private property that they didn't see a problem, but that the land owner would need to give the permission since they would be the ones responsible for fires or noise complaints.

I spoke with Paddy's owner John about this and opening on Thursday and here is his response...

"Keith,

I'm writing regarding your e-mail question to fireworks & Thursday opening.
It will be ok to bring fireworks that weekend. The only requirement will be
they have to be shot off over the river because of fire and no one gets
hurt.

As to the park opening on Thursday it is just impossible, we are already
making an exception by letting everyone in on Friday, to do this we have to
take a day off from our Monday-Friday jobs, Sorry for any inconvenience.

If you have any other questions feel free to contact me.

John Travis"

He's a really nice guy, so please don't think his response was hateful or inconsiderate to us. This is typically a weekend operation for him and his staff. They have regular full-time jobs and responsibilities just like us, so I can understand his situation.

However, there is an RV park here in the town I live in which is about 17 miles away from Paddy's. I can get details if anyone is interested.

Let me know if anyone needs any other local info.

See you all soon,
Keith

Can somebody bring a doctor and some forceps? My wife's due date is that week. For some reason I thought the bash was in May. Oh well maybe next year... Sad

BIGE,
I was looking at rooms online. How much did they charge you a night? I need to find a cheap room. It will cost me about $250 in fuel just to get there. That is not counting driving while in town, riding the buggy or the trip back. These gas prices are killing me. That is all counting on getting at least 10 mpg towing my trailer through the mountians. We shall see what I can do.
