the oiling idea worked great no problems. It took about 2 or 3 hours for the oil to pool on the other end. should work fine. Still need to play around with my chain though.

I will have to give that a try. At one time it would take about 15 seconds for the forward on my Kinroad xt250gk to engage after shifting to forward. It could also be a weak spring on the gearbox, but I will give the zip loc baggie a try first. Thanks guys!!!

I just used the BIKE MASTER CABLE LUBE TOOL purchased from the Blade store and the lube,it worked great, didnt understand the directions at first but once I got it hooked up right it worked great. At first I was skeptical because when I sprayed the lube in the hole it was coming out the top of the tool and I thought this fecal matter aint gonna work, its not going to go the whole way thru the cable, but I sprayed it again for another 5 seconds and then I heard it bubbling out the other end,can def tell a diff in the cable now

I am glad you got it to work for you. I have found that this really is the ONLY way to really keep the cables lubed right and not have to hassle with the mess. I love Ric's idea, but it is such a proccess that I never did it.
