Due to spam bots that register themselves, an user registration mistakes over the users I'm going to do a major pruning of the user database. This will be ongoing so you may see swings in the user count at times. This will be very normal.
It will be interesting to see how may users get wiped out in the first wave today.
Currently users that have register but never activated their account in 14 days will be pruned.
I may decide to prune users that have registered, activated, but never posted... let's say in over 3 or 6 months. In other words, inactive users.
We'll start with the never activated users first though.

Okay, that took care of 540 useless user accounts really quick!
So basically, those users had 14 days to activate their acount via the email response for the board, or they were deleted and this will be an on-going process.
Each board out there has these types of junk account unless something is done about them. What a hit that was! A lot of those were spam accounts set up by robots, and some of those were users that messed up their registration (wrong email typed into the system, or other issue)

hah, that member count went down real fast .Atleast now we know our REAL ammount of members.
Make shure you dont delete talonman's account. He might have fallen of the face of the earth, but he is still a member here.
