Trmn8r (my son Jeff) and I picked up 2 Joyner 1100's from Thunder Inc. on Friday. First, I must comment on how well we were treated by the staff, and specifically Victor Martinez. The buggies were ready and tested, the paperwork including MSO's was complete and we were in and out in no time.
We stopped at Mesquite NV on the way home and decided to test the new rides out in the desert.
First impression - WHOA MAN, these things are fast Twisted Evil The brochure says 86HP, the MSO from China says 88HP, and I'm telling you it's there!
I really can't objectively say much bad about the buggy. Fit and finish are great, the trans ratios are just right, the ride is incredible and it's just too much fun. We climbed some very steep roads covered with loose rock with no problems. The engine has huge torque - it would pull hard at as low as 2000RPM.
As far as speed - this is a 100+MPH buggy Jaw Drop! I pushed mine to 75MPH in less than 200 yards and it was still pulling HARD at 4000RPM in 4th! I didn't want to push it faster because I'm still breaking it in Rolling Eyes (that and I was running out of road and it is a little unnerving going that fast in a 10 foot buggy). These things will pull the inside front wheel off the ground on a full throttle sweeping turn like a sprint car!
I can't wait to test the 1100 at Sand Mountain, but snow will stop that from happening until at least March. We may try to get back down to Mesquite sooner however.
I shot a few photos and 2 short video's of Jeff pulling up a fairly steep loose dirt hill - more soon.

Great artwork done on those.

They seem to be pulling up that steep hill well.

Sweet machines! I love that purple one. Is that artwork standard or did you order them that way?

Thanks for the kind comments - it makes me feel good.
Thunder has an airbrush artist that they use for their custom paint. Any buggy can be ordered with one of 6 different custom graphics. It adds a lot of bling to your buggy for sure. They have the different schemes on their website.

The trailer is a 24' Interstate. They fit with 4' to spare. I guess I could try to squeeze my Titan II in sideways - or not!
Thanks.

Nice buggy! Looks like it makes the hill with power to spare.

I really like the graphics. It makes it all come together. The coolness factor borders on FRIGID

Glade - Thanks. Hey, how soon in the year do the St. Anthony dunes become rideable? I have to see your store on our first trip up.
