Thanks. I have to narrow up the kart some especially in the rear. It turns a little on the wide side. But handles like a sports car. Well some where between that and an offroad buggy Laughing

I went out for a beat on it ride today and I am stretching the GOLD 530 DID brand o-ring chain. Jeez whats gonna happen when I run a 600 or 750 making 100+ HP?? Maybe a sand bullet FNR bolt up gearbox will fix that problem!

randy, it may because of the short chain and the 2 16 tooth sprockets, is it getting hot? that should not stretch that chain, and you know since it is new it should stretch some, how many hours yo think yo have on it now?

That chain may have two hours on it and that is a high figure! It doesn't feel too hot. I am thinking that the gearing on the jackshaft needs to be different. I was thinking if I split the final drive up it may make a difference. If I go with 16T on the counter shaft and lets say 20-24 on the first jackshaft sprocket and then 15 on the other side and a final axle sprocket of 54 or something along those lines it may help to change the load on the jackshaft. Confused Maybe?? I am gonna get some extra sprockets for better gearing and I guess I better get some extra chain too.

ya i think the chain will stretch a bit at first as well, but i will bet the chain will be fine after a few hours of break in, im thinking a boost to the gear range may make a substanul difference in turning to, just gas it a bit to get it around then...

I think the wheelie up the driveway today probably played a big part in stretching the chain. Plus I dumped the clutch at about 8500RPM a couple times in dirt. Wow lots of dirt all over the house and shed. ooops!
