Thanks for all the input that has come in so far. I have checked out all the reviews and talked to some dealers and have narrowed my choice down to two karts. I'm still thinking about the Hammerhead 250 and the Carter Interceptor 250, however, I am leaning towards theHammerhead since I have seen it and loved it, and have only seen prototype photos or was it the real thing ? I don't even know for sure about that, but the local talk has not done it any justice which sends me back to Twister. Oh yeah, the $700.00 bucks difference speaks pretty loudly also. I will keep reading for more information and updates so thank you all again.

I am told that within a few days a production Interceptor 250 should be here. I will be posting photos and a ride review as soon as it hits.

| I am a Carter dealer so naturally I like the Carters. But setting aside that built in bias, the Carter comes with one thing that no other buggy has or will have. The SYM 20HP 4valve head motor. The Carter 250 is more expensive that most, but if you factor in not spending a pile of time and money on performance parts like most do, it will run you about the same money. Besides that, even in stock form it will probably walk away from most other modified 250 buggies and still not void the 2 year factory warranty. I would be thinking the same way if I wasnt a Carter dealer. |
I agree and disagree. I am definitely a Carter fan. The SYM 20HP motor has yet to be reviewed by customers, so I will wait for it, hopefully it is all it is cracked up to be. There have been many a buggy manufacturer that claimed horsepower that wasn't really there. My second point would be I don't care how good it comes stock...people on this forum will end up figuring out how to make it more powerful and faster
Other than not being asthetically pleasing to me...it probably will kick butt, and I'm anxious for reviews....Areblder get the buggy already!!!! _________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
