Nice! Thanks Blister!
About how much is a power inverter?
Can you give me specifics on the wiring? It not only would be nice for the rally but I could find plenty of uses elsewhere as well! Smile
Positive to positive or positive to negative to hook them up together?
What guage wire or is there a "Kit" I can buy?
Thanks for any info on this.

When linking the batteries together, you always want positive to postive and negative to negative. Use standard battery cables(about 6 or 8 gauge) to link them together. You can purchase these cables from any auto parts store. The inverter that I have pictured above is a 1750 watt inverter. I paid around $175 for it. All you need to hook that up is two cables going from one of the batteries to the inverter. One from the positive terminal of the battery to the positve terminal on the inverter and one from the negative terminal of the battery to the negative terminal on the inverter. I was able to operate my compressor with this inverter. If all you need is enough power for a radio, you will only need about a 400 watt inverter. These can cost as little as $30.

John, You Da Man!
Thanks for the info. Can't wait to try it out! I will probably get something bigger than 400 watts. Now that I know it can be done, I want to use it for several other things as well!
Thanks again!

Went back up to Rausch creek and mapped out the course a little better today.
We spent about 4 hours scouting in Lynn's Jeep and we still didn't go down every trail! We did find some more interesting areas to ride in, that we missed on our last scout trip! There's just "stuff" everywhere!!!
I found an area that I think would make a great play area that I'll add to this post and an open area that we found but may not be able to use it. Lynn will check our boundries.

As far as registration goes, everyone MUST sign a waiver and get a wrist band before unloading your buggy. I will locate near the entrance and man a "Booth" for registration on Friday/Saturday morning sometime for a couple hours but it would help if I knew when people will be arriving.
I'd like to make a "window" for registration times and if you arrive outside those hours, if I'm not at my campsite, you can call me on the cell when you get there That way I don't have to sit there for 2 whole days!
Any suggestions on checkin times for Fri/Sat?

I know that I will not be there on Friday before 4pm. I do not get off work that morning until 8am and will still have to go home and load up. A 6 or 7 hour trip from NC will deceide my arrival time. Also will you be collection the reg. fee at that time? Do you want cash or check? Maybe if you have some help you can set up someone there in shifts for a few hours to cover a larger time frame. Just a thought. If I can talk my 8 year old son in to sitting still long enough I will help you with that.

That's cool Ray! Thanks for for the offer of help. I will try not to burdon anyone with "Tasks" but won't turn down a helping hand! I'm hoping I can set it up and it will run itself! Smile
Your 8 yr old and my 8 yr old can probably keep each other busy! Mine doesn't sit still for long periods (Like 5 minutes or so!) either! Smile

Cash please and we have to get the waiver signed before riding so I will man the tent for a few hours on fri and sat and anyone who comes before or after those times, they can call me and I'll run back to the tent.
The more times people get posted here, the better it will be for me. I don't want people to have to wait on me to get in.
I will camp near the start finish line, that way, I should always be close by. If anyone wants to preregister now and save us both some hassle, I can send you a waiver form and a wrist band. PM me and I'll see what I can do.

$35 per day, per buggy or $100 for the 3 days.
The amount of people doesn't matter.
I'll have a map for everyone. You'll get a wrist band to wear and you must sign a waiver before unloading the buggy.
Saturday at Dusk, we'll all be getting together for a pig roast and drag race. I just sent in my artwork for approval on the T-shirts and we'll be putting up signs in a week or two over the course!
I'll post my Cell# for everyone like a week before and you can call me when you get there and I'll come set you up!
