I called Echo valley campgrounds this morning and made reservations for a camper rental. I told them about the group and Judy the campground owner told me about their pavillion rental area. She is sending me an email that covers all of the specifics. I will post that to this thread when she sends it to me.

Per Toms post I suggest we start a list here of things everyone would like to do when we are there. If you want to do it post it here so we can try to get it organized.
* I think the first ride needs to scheduled for Friday. Everyone needs to be lined up and ready to go at a preset time. This initial guided tour of the course and riding area should be led by Tom so everyone is aware of the actual riding area. At crucial points on the course we will stop and Tom can announce to the group any specifics that apply to the direction or optional routes in that area. It is crucial that everyone knows what the trail systems markings and colored flags indicate.
*Timed rally race
*Drag race on the main service road
*There is the one harder trail with lots of rocks it would be nice to set that
area up as an obsticle course/rock climbing area.
*Maybe set up a flat track for drifting style racing (just off the service
road) the drifting track can also double as a track for kids and others to
use while a timed circuit is taking place on the course.
Tom as far as the cartoon type T-shirt I know you asid you have lots of time on the design do you want others to give you some help with finishing that? Do you want someone else to take care of that whole thing for you? Would you like anyone interested in helping to send you a cartoon drawing they made so you can pick the best design?
Tom I like the idea of possibly getting everyone to stay at a campground together. This will keep the group together and everyone will have ammenities at their disposal. Each day we could have a convoy that heads out to the riding facility. This would make for nice memories of the Rally, camping and our big convoy!!

Sorry no artist in this family. I know alot of you are camping but my son and I will be looking for a Hotel to stay in. We get our camping at Cub Scouts twice a year and We just don't feel that the summer is the time to add a weekend. ( I'm just a sucker for a bed and a shower. OK A/C too.) I know in a previous post someone was looking into hotel rates and locations and maybe a group rate thing. Any Info from that yet? If not I will make my reservations through AAA or something like that. If someone local has a list of hotels in the area, maybe they could post them.
If the campground is seperate from the rally site, I guess I will just keep the buggy and trailer with me and lock it the best I can. I do not want to "Clutter" someone elses camp site and cause problems.
The entry fee, if I read correctly, is $100 for the weekend for 1 buggy. Right? When do we pay, and how do you want it payed (check,cash,etc...)? What else will I need to pay for? I know Kidinme is working on the T-Shirts and had stated something about a cookout with pork. I think we need to help offset the cost of food if that is the case.
I'm too far south to be of much help for setting things up but, if there is something I can bring that will help PM me and I will see what can be done.
Hope to see all of you there.

I hear ya! I'm getting a Hotel room also but will camp out too. Wife and oldest can't come till Saturday so I might stick them in the tent that night so I can get a shower and a soft bed!
The comfort Inn is nearby and you get about a $20 discount for mentioning Rausch Creek off road. It's on thier web site but I will post the info on it after dinner to make it easier for every one. Randy contacted Echo Vally campground so He probably knows more about that.
The price is right. $100 for the weekend per buggy, (If you want to bring more than one buggy, PM me and we'll work something out.) bring the whole family! $35 per day if you cant be there Friday. I'm still thinking on how to get situated on getting the fees. It's complicated, especially when we all won't be arriving at the same time. I was thinking of just setting up camp near the entrance or atleast marking it well on a map and hand it out with a ribbon to tie on your buggy or something. Any ideas here are welcome!
I'm working on a T-shirt as you know. I'm hoping that the sale of the shirts, offset the cost of the Pig roast. The pig roast is really to get everyone together at once, take pictures, shoot the breeze, maybe make some challenges and eat some good food! If the T-shirt doesn't pan out in time, it may cost an additional $7-$8 or so for the roast, not sure. I'm talking to the Pig guy tomorrow and will know more on that then.
