Ok Everyone I got back from Ocotillo Wells OHV area in Southern California a few days ago.
This Place is awesome. There are tons of trails everywhere and a ton of different terrain types for every riders preference. Most of the terrain is sandy but still some good trails. There is a nice flat hard packed area near the airport that would be perfect for testing the speed of your buggy with a GPS.
One of the other cool features is the attractions you can ride to. There are various natural wonders that are a nice break from just riding around.
You can camp anywhere you want and there are restrooms scatter through out this huge area.
Some of the terrain is a little rough. I was riding my little buggy pretty hard and ended up rattling the exhaust apart and loosing a screw to the airfilter box...a big thanks to the people that invented zip ties
The weather started out bad, being extremely windy on saturday but was perfect sunday and monday.
Over all i would recommend this OHV area to anyone who is looking for a variety of terrain options and doesnt mind the desert climate.[/img]
that looks like a great place to ride. you could really get the buggy to top end there. _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

Ocotillo Wells is our favorite place to ride. 80,000 acres PLUS BLM land outside of that! EVery trial is marked, there are nice tracks around, Devil's Slide is a great place to watch jeeps roll down a cliff. Metal Mulisha and several other FMX teams go out there and film crazy jumps. There's a mechanic in town who welds and carries many buggy parts. Some place as to be the absolute best and everyone who goes to Ocotillo seems to agree, this place is it. Fall to spring only tho. _________________ Carter Brothers gtr 300
