No gasket. There is nowhere to really sandwich it easily on this one. It seemed to seal well.

The power increase is over the Toy Junkies pipe... So it's just to say that there isn't a lot of power benefit over the toy junkies pipe as far as I see. But this one is a much nicer part. There is a little more low end gain I believe which is always welcome.

Yes, even on the very begining of the pipe it is larger in diameter than the stock part.

Steve,

is the gain just what you preceive or did you really try a few runs up your hill to see what type of climbing she would do, you know Heath may have a point about the home chop, I am really curious to see what the results are when all 3 are compared.

I think what steve is saying is given the choice for the same price, the eastside appears to be better quality and possibly perform better. I think because it has a larger dia. than either toy junkies or stock, it will flow better. This may not be an issue until you do a few other mods (ie larger valves) to your buggy where a small exhaust will bottleneck your flow.

However, I still think if I had a 2005 Twister/Talon with the larger exhaust I would just mod it and save the money. My 2004 though is never going to flow like my eastside, way too narrow.

break that stopwatch out Steve for some quantitative test results for your readers!

I'm exhausted after no sleep and about 200 miles of driving today. I'll have to do my comparison stuff another day.

Kell is right, If I had to choose which $300 kit it would be, the East Side would appear to win hands down.

Now, the question is... is it really worth it over stock?

The 2004 Xterro pipe and 2005 blade pipe both are of the narrow tube variety so we'll see what we get when chopping.

They do fit. Just not easy to get on there. It's like a puzzel trick when we were kids. Those damn wire loops, now figure out how to get them to loop together.... I think you know what I mean. The bends give your head the bends while trying to figure out how to snake them through the rear swing arm and battery wires, etc. Basically, I took a bunch of stuff off the buggy to make it easier... Removed the battery, removed the left shock, and even the left wheel. In the end I could have done it with just removing the battery but I wanted all my options open while I was trying to figure it out.

I jacked up the back and put it on stands so I could get under it and see what I was doing. I wrapped the cannister in rags so I wouldn't mess it up as I kept dropping it...

Finally got it and breathed a sigh of relief that it fit.

Cool... they are really sweet looking. And the sound is GREAT.

Recommend that people wrap the cannister with rags and elastics while installing so they don't scrape it up. It's tight fit while installing.

Absolutely positively important that folks watch their battery cables, the front breather boot and the throttle cable so that they don't get melted!!!

The boot looks to be fine... don't think you could mess that up unless your battery cable pushes it into the pipe.

The battery cable could be longer. I may have to modify mine, but it seems to be JUST long enough.

The throttle cable snakes back to the engine right where the pipe goes. You just have to be careful that you don't trap the cable against the pipe and melt it. That would be a mess. I disconnected the throttle cable to make install easier. Don't think that was absolutely needed, but it made it a little easier for me. and I could snake it through the way I wanted it to go afterwards.

Stu.. did they say how many versions of this pipe they have???

Like I said, mine came in as a 2004 Xterro pipe and it fit.

Just curious if they actually have different versions, or just sell it as Pipe for XYZ buggy, etc and they are all the same pipe.

That was never really clear to me.

If they are selling one for the Dazon then they must have different versions I guess.
