I want to add to this post and say that I drove a Polaris Ranger the other day , that was SALE priced for $7,000. 500cc 2wd, stripped down model of 2005. On my test drive the hood flew up cracked me hand, the tranny sounded like it was going to blow, and I scared the sales guy to death by taking a curve, not a turn, but a slight curve and almost flipping the thing. If the Rhinos are anything like that, have fun.
I think these Chinese carts are getting better all the time and most of the dealers offer some type of warranty with the buggies. To the guy who bought the Rhino. Please come to the Buggy Bash, I will have something for you Laughing Yes, this is a little smack talk Exclamation

It was on just long enough for me to see it and start to reply... in the middle of my reply the database server crashed and I reported it... we were back up about 50 minutes later or so.

5th time in about 1.5 months.

I requested again to be switched to a new database server as MEOW seems to be unstable.

Now this is when you know a forum is working like its supposed to.
I've read damn near every post on here, and still am looking at getting a twister so far. The stinger would be awesome but out of reach for me.
And by god let me see some footage of a Rhino doing a foward flip and driving off.
You'd have more than a broke back with that pile up. It would probably get strowed across the ground and look like a Yard Sale.

Ya'll think one of these 250's would do a Baja1000 race ?
I'd love to blow past a broke down trophy truck and smile and wave as I putt putt on down the dusty trail .... Laughing

When I first got my Twister 250, I read on here where most people with "other" brands, were fixing things ALOT!!!
The 23 mph top speed that was posted was from a guy who modded alot of stuff on his buggy! There wasn't too much original on the engine. He also stated that this was the top speed out of the box. There is obviously something not put together right.
My Twister had the same problem when I first got it but I found out quickly that the fuel filter was on backwards!!! I turned it around and got my 45mph top end!!
I put in 15gram rollers in mine and noticed a great increase off the line but it really zapped my top end! Probably took off 15 mph!!!
This is one of the reasons TJ doesn't sell Twisters online!
When we start on our quest to make things better, we inadvertantly cause something else to be fixed because of it! This is then translated into a "Crappy buggy!"
I have yet to see a mod that gives you that much more that it counteracts the extra wear and tear that mod brings.
I may gain 10mph but I'll be replacing belts and rollers much more often or whatever PLUS when we make these things go faster, they have to deal with heavier impacts as well!! Hit a ramp at 30 and you're fine add 10mph to it and the impact breaks an "A-Arm"!!!!! Not a "bad buggy" issue, but an issue with making things "better" without the complete knowlege TJ had when they designed it!!
I still stand by my Twister and most of you know how hard I am on it! Smile
I still can't find any flaws with my HH that if corrected, wouldn't create another problem!
I'd like a little more room for 2 full grown adults but if I did that, I'd be too wide for my trails!
So our motto ought to be "If it ain't broke, DON'T fix it!!
If you do, Don't female dog about the problems you are having and say "this buggy is a piece of crap"! "Live by the wrench, DIE by the wrench!! Smile
TJ did a great job out of the box and if I haven't broke it yet, the only way I see it would, would be through neglect!!!!!
Just my 2 cents here because I can't stand it when people from other venues "Bash" these buggies because it won't keep up with Rhino, Jeep or Lamborghini!!
If you want a "rock crawler Jeep" then hang with other rock crawler jeep guys!!! Of course, there will always be someone who gets an Escalade, jacks it up and switches to a lower gear ratio then they'll start "bashing" the Jeep guys right? Smile
It's a viscious cycle of "My toy is better than yours!"
Well. I'm taking my ball and going home! Smile

As per my request to the host they switched us off of MEOW and we are now on a new database server. I suspect the database issues will be gone now.

I was replying to about ten posts. I use PHPBB and if you set-up your chron jobs you can have this thing back-up every hour if you want. Some of that post was old. I am glad to hear you are not removing posts though and appologize for the error.

I like your site and think you are doing a good service here. I just wish the riders of these machines could gain more control over the quality control in manufacturing. It is really sad to read about a Twiser Hammerhead, modded to death going flat out at 23 MPH with a little girl at the helm.

Most of the posts on here are less than glowing about these machines. I know they are cheap, but people work hard to make $3,000.00 and expect something to do what it is engineered to do.

Again, sorry for my error. If you need the name of a REALLY good server provider (I have a dedicated server with them), contact me via email. I have had 0 failures in 22 months.

Take Care.

I agree. any time you start making buggys, cars, trucks go faster, have more power, etc. you have to plan on something elase giving up.

There are alot of fine buggys out there and when we mod the crap out of we cannot blame the buggy.... When we mod them we are changing the way the manufacture designed it.... so dont blame the buggy when you mod the thing to climb mt. everest and then it breaks an axle....

just my three cents
