Phil is absolutely right. I was actually told that we only own the land to pay taxes on it and that the govenrment is duty bound to protect all land for the greater good of the people. If you think you actually own land to do what you want wait until some "endangered specis is dicovered, or they want to build a freeway, or they just like the way your land looks. The point is they dont need a reason. It is called imminent domain. They can do what they want when they want and there is nothing you can do about it. That is why I am so adament in fighting and defending personal rights. These things have all come about primarily since FDR was in office and every year we loose more and more rights, while the average person just goes on watching TV and pretending it doesnt affect them until one day it is too late. There is even a certain moderator on this sight that claims to be for personal rights but his actions speak differently. He probably doesnt even realize what he espouses. Most people dont even think about the situation enough to have an opinion. A great deal of others have made the right choice but dont want to take the time to get envolved. Still others dont think they can make a difference. At this point it is going to take major reform to take the country back we are so far gone. Lets hope it isnt too late.
Very true We at PAL had some land that was purchased as an equestrian/ATV park. Of course these two could not ride on the same trails but it was purchased with this intent. The equestrian people involved in our purchase wanted to keep the land for themselves so they went to some environmentalists and some how had them claim that there was an endangered tree frog living there. Long story short the land was seized and many years passed and we just received a settlement for half of what we should have got from the settlement. Not to mention the 40K that they kept that they claim was interest from the escrow account. Neither of us were able to keep the land not even the equestrian group.
