What was that tool you used to remove the starting driven gear? And how do i get the big gear of here and i guess its called a spanner wrench. Where and how do i get that.
Also a screwdriver and a hammer works well. Remember the threads are reversed on that spanner nut. _________________ Custom Buggy http://www.buggynews.com/topic13417.html

Hey thanks the link helped alot but i still have two questions.
1. How do you hold the thing down (starter clutch gear) because when i try to hammer the thing or if i do the socket way it still moves the crank?
2. On the other side of the crankcase the side were the CVT belt is there is a small gear that is behind the Variator Cooling Plate and the rollers. It shows no way of getting it off yet it has to to get the crank out and separate the two cases.
By the way my chain adjuster hole on the engine chipped off.
That is gear for the kick starter that you don't have. It is held by friction and should pop off the shaft with very little force. _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250

Can you clamp the other side of the crank between two pieces of wood in a vice to hold it? _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250

Ok so im hitting to the right since it is reversed and i have the other side clamped down with wood, yet the i've been beating it with a hammer and it isnt budging at all!??
The easiest way to get it off is with a gear puller, but a screwdriver applied evenly on opposite sides should pop it off the bevel. _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250
