Looks awesome! I always thought that a buggy with a manual transmission would help with the lower end power and climbing ability.

Looks interesting. Wonder if the engine would get HOT being so close behind the seat and not having much cooling air flow at lower speeds (or even higher speeds with the seat shrouding air flow).

Power rating converts to around 10HP and 8FT/LBS of torque. That sounds really low for a 250cc engine.

no revearse + that one of those 250cc atv engines in it from here http://www.awesomebuggy.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=334 if i was those people who desines these i would get a 5speed with reavers and the same 250cc that is in all buggies.

A Yamaha Warrior 350 has 5 or 6 speed gearbox (can't remember for sure), but I know that it has a reverse gear built into the engine gear box. That ATV has been made for close to 20 years and there are ususally quite a few of the engines for sale on eBay. If I was going to build an ATV or do an engine swap, I'd like that engine because it is chain drive but has the reverse gear box built into the engine/trans unit. Plenty of power too.
