I am looking for free software that will convert cell phone video in 3G2 format to MOV, FLV, or WMV. I found plenty that convert the other way, but not in the direction I need.

If you find something please post back. I did this search a couple years ago when I first got a decent phone that would do video & realized that neither Verizon nor LG had any software to convert the (then rare) 3G2 files. I couldn't find anything free and ended up with a program called Omniquiti "Lathe" that's pretty good at all kinds of video format conversions. It was only about $8 but Omniquiti appears to be gone now.

3G2 format is supported under the QuickTime codecs, but I am still looking to transcode it to a more popular format.

Try this site. I use the Rad video tools to convert some MOVs that don't read in Movie Maker. It has a lot of options.
