Alrighty, well, my Talon has been jerking pretty badly for a while now when I am starting off. Giving it full throttle it is fine, but giving a little throttle and going slow will really get it jerking at times. The culprits I feel could be:

Rollers-Kind of doubting them being the problem, but they are on the list.

Clutch- Doubting this also.

Reverse Gear- This could be it, but I hope to God it's not.

Chain- This could also be it along with the axle bearings. The axle bearings allow the axle to move about a 1/2" I'd say.

So what do you think?

I will try to get a video on Wednesday if I can remember to. I'd love to get this fixed. If I got this problem dealt with I'd only have brake problems left and maybe front suspension.

How does the motor idle ?Does it sound like it jerks bc of the motor or bc of the cvt.

It's in the drivetrain.

My 150 also does this. I'm leaning toward the clutch. After it fully engages at higher speeds and more throttle it goes away.

YOU can jack up the kart put it on jack stands,run it with out a load then apply the brakes see where the jerk comes from .only a thought.

I wrote that wrong apply the brakes then give it gas see where the jerk is.

my wifes does that. I took out the koso clutch and put in a prodigy. havent had a chance to try it yet

Dude... this is not good! If you don't change those bad bearings out... you run the risk of ruining your brake disc and certainly your brake pads. The brake disc needs to be perfectly stable for the pads to grab evenly. If your axel is moving side to side... so is your brake disc, and it's also forcing your axel sprocket out of allignment. So when you give it a little torque, your chain is rolling crooked, and likely skipping. Get those bearings out of there and put in new ones, I think your problem might be solved.

i think everybody has made good points on things to check.
i have had this problem to and having it now.for me i found out with running sliders or rollers i will get the same thing after about three months of riding.when i pull it down to check i always find that i have a bunch of belt dust built up on the rollers or sliders and inside of the variator ramp actually caked in it.i can clean everything up and it is good for a while again.
maybe this is not your problem,for me its like a chatter and a little jerking when taking off.just about like a clutch chatter if you slip it just a little.

I am pretty sure that's what it is, Mike. Is it easy enough to change the bearings out? And where would I get them? Do you have any, BIGE?
