I have a minor issue with brake noise that seems to be coming from the rear calibur. I have tried to tighten the calibur but its about as tight as it is going to get, upon further investigation if i move it slightly when rocking the buggy back and forth it seems to go away, even when driving it if i apply the brakes it makes a horrible sound,if i get off the buggy and move the calibur around and drive for a min and apply brakes it seems to go away, then it comes right back...im lost please help... _________________ 05 tomberlin crossfire 150<-------
Just for kicks... put the back end of your buggy on blocks and try to move the axel side to side. If it moves... (like mine did), then your brake disc might be rubbing against the pads, or whats left of them, and causing the noise.
If that's the case.. then you likely have bad axel bearings. (it happens, stock are cheap, new are inexpensive) My axel was moving side to side so much, my pads were totally destroyed from rubbing the disc. Made a really bad grinding, screeching sound. _________________ 05' Carter Talon GSX 150 2R

If its that terrible of a sound either something is stuck in there or you're missing a pad ! Just thinking out load! _________________ Blade DX 150*

the thing is that i really have no xp as a buggy owner((TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS)) I purchased this buggy from a friend and i guess i was just trying to figure out why when i hit the brakes it makes a bad noise i checked to see if anything was stuck between the pads and there wasent, and i do notice that the pads are brand new,i just dont want to make a small issue a bigger issue...but i do have a question does the calibur suppose to have a little play in it or is it suppose to be pretty muchno movement at all _________________ 05 tomberlin crossfire 150<-------
sorry, I'm more of a touchy feely guy! There are 2 bolts that hold the caliper on that should be tight no movement thats basicly the calipers frame ( stationary side no movement up againest the frame) now on the other hand there is the movable side which will move aliitle bit .I think may be lift the back end up support it and see when it makes noise. _________________ Blade DX 150*
