Yes I know there are reasons like expense and I can see the market moving towards 250 as the base, but I personally think it would be cool in many ways. 150's are usually not as wide, cost less initially, have tons of hop up parts, and are lighter. To me it just seems a no brainer. I know I've wished many times my 150 had a forward gear close to as low as my reverse for climbing. I've seen 150's priced from 2000 to 3000 dollars and I'd be willing to give and extra 100 or 200 for a low range, instead of another 1000 for the coresponding 250. _________________ ACE 250R2 uni with 125 jet, stock exhaust

I agree totaly!I been thinking about this when first took my kart for a ride.I just added more and more mods so I didn't think about it anymore, until I broke another belt and gear case.If I would go slower over rocks and hills I would knowing that I had enough torque. _________________ Blade DX 150*

i agree with you guys a setup like that would be nice.i know i have been in some places and sure you guys have to, that it would have been nice to have something like this to lock her down in low and ease up over a real bad place.
that would be if a gearbox like this wouldn't brake the bank to get one.

Just thinking out loud but wouldn't it be cool if a low range came out as an add on, like the external reverse on my Sunl. Just remove the reverse and replace it with the low range/reverse unit. I've thought many times about how one could make the reverse unit a low range, but there would go my reverse. _________________ ACE 250R2 uni with 125 jet, stock exhaust

Currently, no one makes a bolt on reverse with dual range. The easiest way to design this would be fabricate a case holding CFMoto 250 parts.
Another source of dual range gearing might come from the Honda Trail series (CT70, CT90 CT110) if there is a way to sandwich it between the CVT case and reverse unit. _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250

I thought of that too! If can include the reverse with another sliding gear I think it would work.Of course it would like a seperate gear box but it would work! All depends on how much you want to spend on mods or low gear! _________________ Blade DX 150*
