Yesterday I went to move my buggy and it would not fecal matter into any gear. I detached the shifting rod from the shifting assembly and found that it still would not shift. Today I diconnected the brake line going into the assembly, removed the knob, and was able to take the the assembly apart. I found that the plastic piece that is suppose to keep dirt out had caused the shifter to jam, and there was a ton of mud in there. The plastic piece was mangeld. I cut a new one on my laser, out of some same guage plastic, cleaned and lubed everything put it all back together and it is like new again.

I hope this helps anyone with simular shifting problems. I also adjusted the shifting rod out a few turns, and it inguages in low gear alot better now.

Sounds good, I'll check out my Joyner. Talking about shifting, I've never tried this, but I've got to ask, can you shift from low to high with the CFmoto, without stopping at idle?

!!! Ok so there it is, I have been waiting to see this question again. No No way UH UH do NOT shift while moving at all, it WILL strip out the shift cog. We have had calls over and over again from Blade TJ and Joyner customers who have done this. I know it is tempting to at least try, But it will Never mesh at anything but idle and the repair is not only a pin, but expesive and the parts are getting hi to come by.

This is a Public service announcement!!! LOL

Thanks for the response, I've been wanting to try it, but there was no way I would before posting the question. Just kept forgetting to post the question. Now that would have been a nice feature, maybe they'll incorporated that in the future.

The HH 400 is a manual shift.

Oh, are you saying that they are already incorporating this feature with the HH 400. If so I'm lobbying for the members with the 250cc budget.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that require a new gear box. I don't think the installed one can even be adapted for shift on the fly or anything close to it.
