hey guys i put my new spring,sliders and clutch in but the clutch is not really upgraded just like a stock one
but any way i am still not climbing very well like it barely even notice a difference is there any break in or what is going on

geekster, did you get your sliders in the wright way.you should have notice a difference.there should have been a picture on the back of the pack showing you the way they set in the variator.

Geek, I have a white spring, which is suppose to be stiffer than the blue, it not impressive either. Where I ride there's ton of hills with loose dirt, I have 18g slider,19g rollers,17g roller,and 15g sliders. Most importantly I have the hi/lo tranny I'm unsure if you have the hi/lo tranny. Anyway 15g sliders, white torque spring/or stock, 5/16" shim, with the stiffest clutch springs (engagement approx 4000 rpm) this set up delivers. From a stand still on pavement it surges (low gear), hills that require a head of steam in high gear, I can stop at the bottom of the hill and power my way up the hill. If you are doing alot of climbing you might want to try this set up. You got to remember our 250's weigh over 700lb/or 800lb depending where you look. So you need to get to max torque quick! yes i think i put them in the things i slid the cover off and placed the round part down on the this link http://www.buggynews.com/download.php?id=1100
the part on the left i placed the round end of the slider in there with the smaller of the flats straight up and the longer on the side is this right ?

i dont do tons of climbing but enough jsut trying to figure out if my new mods are working right

i just that i would ask geekster i know they are easy to get wrong and almost done it myself.if you put them in this way then they are wright.what is it, you just got no low end take off or does it feel like your cvt is not shifting down when you hit a hill.

Geek i have the hit clutch and the stock clutch, and i have experimented with the different combinations of springs with both. I've come to the conclusion that the springs are the difference makers, its just my opinion, but I've tested it.

geekster myself i did notice when i went with sliders that they didn't drop back down in the variator as fast as a roller would but i couldn't really say with your buggy don't have any experience with them only to others say they are one fine machine.
myself if i'm not sure about something like what you are talking about,i open it back up and look at things close.a while back my buggy wasn't down shifting fast enough i thought.so i pulled it back down and looked over things good. i found that the pin that the variator slides on was gummed up alittle and there was a rough spot inside of the variator bushing.i took some emery cloth to the bushing clean it good taking the rough spot out and clean pin with steel wool and then it work smooth.it was shutting ok to get the belt in high gear but it wasn't opening back up fast enough to let the belt shift back down to get in lower gearing,it was hanging up.i'm not saying that is your problem but it never hurts to check things over.
also like GMANLV said maybe you just haven't found the setup you are looking for yet.

the sliders do not react as quick as rollers, double check the postion of the sliders and put the yellow or red clutch springs in.

oh come on eric you said that the clutch spring would not help me much lol jk
but you did say that well i need some tires so no more mods for now i guess ill go back in there and check every thing out
