I replaced mine with scooter mirrors for $25. The stock mirrors have a stout shaft/arm but the connection to the mirror is cut-rate,cheap, cheesy. The scooter mirrors dont have that stout shaft but the connection to the mirror is fine, more durable than stock anyway. And you should be able to find them at any scooter shop. Good luck.

Geek, you might be interested to know. You recall the post about replacing the stock Joyner shocks? I still want to do that, however springs could be a great poor mans upgrade. Let me explain. If your shocks are like mine, approx 11 tight coils at the top of the shock, 6 loose coils at the bottom, you might want to try this, or get some different springs. I took those spring off and flipped them, with the idea that the tight coils (top shock mount) had to provide resistance before the loose coils would begin to contract. Flipping the springs made a noticable difference. Better response, less rebound force, you know when go through a series of big whoops how you get to bucking bronco feeling, now I was getting a little air. The biggest difference was the the turning, which was noticable when I tested on the street. I could make tighter turn, (more wheel movement). I could keep going, but the bottom line is a shock upgrade would do the Sand Viper a world of good.
Oh yea, I scared to go and test it in the dirt, by the fear of disappointment, but I kicked disappointmen in the a$$.

Don't know. Mine mounted sideways up near the front of the roll cage. The mounting arm is horizontal and then the mirror points up. The mirror does pivot all the way around. I think they were probably designed to mount vertical and then the mirror point outward. They're probably a little too far away to be real useful, but they do give a good view of the rear wheels. I like this because I ride in some tight areas and it allows me to see if I'm getting past trees or whatnot. Sorry, but don't have a pic with them on. _________________ Ron
