Got the UNI filter today for the Crossfire. I raided someone's (it's a secret) plumbing stash for the intake and boot. I made the intake from a 1 1/4" chromed brass drain with a 90 degree angle at one end, and a rubber sleeve for the boot-to-carb. I took two pieces of aluminum angle cut to the correct size to fill the gap between the mount and the intake. Bolted them together and created an intake brace. I used two pieces so I could adjust the difference in angle from the intake to the original mount. The intake does not sit directly under the mount. It sits a little to the left from behind. I bolted it to the mount using 'nylock' nuts to prevent them from backing off, then took two pieces of 5/8" heater hose cut about 1.5 inches wide and split them in half. I wrapped the hose around the intake to prevent damage from the aluminum angle or the radiator clamp. The two pieces fit perfectly around the intake when put together. It is a very sturdy fit and it can be lined up perfectly to prevent any unwanted stress on the carb or boot. I cannot vouch for the long term usage yet, but I will let everyone know how well it holds up............ This is GREAT 'stuff'! And FUN!
By the way, our 130 jet hasn't made it in yet. It will barely run with the free-flowing setup now. Need that jet asap!

I was editing at the same time you were replying. I ordered a 130 and a 135. I also have a new DG slip on silencer that should be arriving anytime. It's actually for a 2-stroke bike, but will fit perfectly on the xfire's exhaust pipe (when I cut the stock muffler off). For $27 I couldn't resist. Hopefully it will sound good. I know it will LQQK good!

Good looking intake mod! You have a lot of room under your swingarm crossbrace--lucky guy. If you think you'll be riding in wet or muddy conditions you can slip an Outerwears on the Uni. Wet stuff just rolls right off & your filter will stay cleaner much longer. _________________ _________________

Awe man, I can't tell you that....................
Oh yes you can
There's a UNI dealer right down the street from me.
Problem is that....all the filters are retail packaged and it's hard to tell how good it would fit the drain pipe.
