I have a Kazuma 150cc engine that is blowing large amounts of oil and exhaust gas out of the valve cover breather under load. I have rebuilt the carb and adjusted the valves and the problem is still there. Both rebuilds at the suggestion of Kazuma and others. Do I have a burnt valve or a bad piston ring? Where is the oil coming from. The plug is not fouled.

Sounds like rings to me also. Compression is leaking past the rings and into the crank case,as the pressure builds in the crank case it will push oil out the vent hose. TOM

Ya got shot rings, pound to a penny if you pull the cylinder you will find the ring gap nearer 1mm than .1mm, we just did 3 CF motor 250s, (Honda CN-250) that chucked oil out and in fact one seized as a result, (really lunched that begger), new rings and a bore clean was all that was needed, but I would recomend new valve seals, gaskets (of course) and check out the cam chain and tensioner and a light lap in on the valve seats while you have it stripped.

My buggy had a major oil leak also out the crank vent. I didn't check for exhaust gas coming out of it but I will! In my situation some of the breather hoses were connected via T to the carb and intake. Yep, seemed to literally pump oil out. The lines came from the dealer like this!

We got those corrected but I still have a leak in that area. I'm hoping it isn't rings.

Anyone know if it is good or bad that I bought it from Awesome Buggy (AB power sports)? So far, they seem to be taking care of everything. The buggy is only a month old and we've been dealing with this from day one.

I put the 150cc Kazuma back together after cleaning carb and replacing the rings. It started and idled fine. I let it cool down and took it on a test ride. Pulled into the garage and let it cool down now it won't start. It does not even try to start. Any ideas?

I just checked for spark and checked all the connectors. Connectors good, no spark at plug. How did the CDI go bad so fast.

I checked the fuse and it is good. The horn works when the key is on. Everything looks good wiring wise.

check the wires going into the cdi plug, they can look like they are in good but they can be pushed out enough not to make a good connection
