Hi,
I believe it to be a 2007. The current muffler comes out, goes down a little then upward at about 35 degrees. Please see the attached pic.
Many thanks,
Chris[/img]

I dont know of a complete kit for the cross fire. you can gut the stock muffler or use a slip on style muffler.

eigther one will increase flow and power

You can use the exhaust from a Twister 150. Not as HP or bling as the White Bros. or Eastside pipes but easier on the wallet. They make 2 aluminum performance exhausts. The smaller one is easier to fit. You will need to make a mounting post for the bracket to attach to. The earlier Crossfire mounted the muffler to a post attached where the kickstarter shaft came through the CVT cover--just ahead of the "Howhit" plate.

You can improve this pipe even more by taking it apart & popping out the baffle inside and drilling a couple additional holes in the incoming pipe.

It's a 2-piece header pipe so removing the muffler to work on it or the engine is easy and you don't have to remove the header--or replace the O-ring--every time.

Great link to guide you through the best bang-for-the-buck 150 mods:

OK, thanks.
So is there a company that I can google where I can buy the new pipe from ? I am sorry if I missed it. Your email and links were a great help.
Thanks, Chris

Hi,
I could not find an aftermarket exhaust for the hammerhead at relaibleparts. I only found the stock item.

I did find this though:

Should this work or should I look further for a cheaper price. It seems reasonable $ wise.

Chris

That's the bigger muffler. I can't find the smaller one so I guess they discontinued it. The big one fits, too but you need to mount it about 1" lower or the hot muffler will melt a hole in the Howhit CVT cover plate. Just a little 1" link of steel strap should work fine.
The bigger muffler doesn't have a baffle inside & doesn't need any tweaks.

Make sure when you order that you are also getting the clamp bracket (hanger). Buy 2 in case they haven't improved them. Mine kept breaking from the vibration and abuse of rough trails. Look close at the top picture in my first reply and you'll see that after breaking 2 hangers I fabbed a bracket & had it welded on. It broke, too Rolling Eyes
