I have a Roketa GK-01(KTR-150A) with the GY6 Engine.
I am having problems with the Reverse Gear Box and I cannot find any information on how it works and how to remove/repair/replace the unit.
I downloaded the Carter 150 Service Manual and the reverser looks similar but when you try to enlarge the picture it gets pretty useless. I guess Carter Brothers also removed the link to this manual because my browser keeps telling me file not found.
Do I need special tools ? Does the unit just press on to the shaft ?
I have seen prices for this Part No: GK-01-150-03-14 REVERSE GEAR BOX approaching $ 400.00. That's almost 1/3of the price I paid for the GoCart new !
Is it worth replacing?
Can it be removed and just run the cart without reverse?
I have searched the site for answers to these questions but still do not have a clear idea on how to proceed.

hello paul and welcome the buggy madness
i'm running the same kind of buggy but it goes by sunl but i did notice the reverse box cable hook up is a little different.
what kind of problem are you having is it slipping or it won't go in reverse? and you have caught in time all you might need is a cable adjustment.
also these type of gearbox's needs grease in them from time to time.they will shift slicker and the bearings will last longer.
they are not hard to take apart, small set of snap ring pliers if you don't have any, a set with changeable ends and the one that the pliers can be change to be used for internal external snaprings.thats what i use any way you can do more then one thing with them.the snap ring pliers are used for snap ring to unhook cable.take bracket off, take big nut off shaft be careful not to lose the little spacer or collar behind big nut.then it should slide wright off shaft.
heres a picture of what i think you are looking for.

welcome aboard. is it not going in gear good? if thats what its doing check the idle first. it needs to idling around 1200-1500 rpm, or kinda low. that will make it not go in gear good. _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything
