After a full day of riding yesterday, my buggy started pulling sharply to the right when I let up on the gas. A visual check yielded no clues. Has anyone experienced this before? If so, any pointers?

Had a rear axle bearing fail on one side. The axle would move back and forth causing the buggy to turn on decelleration. It was a solid axle buggy and all the ball bearings had come out of the bearing cage giving the axle almost a full inch of travel. We did not even realize the bearing had come apart until the chain started slipping.

Thanks to those who responded. At least I've got somewhere to start looking. I'll follow up when I find the problem.

Mine is a Peirspeed 250. Good point in that I should have mentioned that. I'll add it to my signature as I've seen that others have.

The Peirspeed has 4 wheel independent suspension with dual chains (1 on each side), and 4 wheel disc brakes.

When you replace the bearings get a quality replacement. The factory Chinese bearings are simply garbage. I bet over half of the buggy owners have bad bearings that need replacing without even knowing it..
