Will idle all day, but when my boy drives it, it just dies within a minute and won't restart.
I've pulled the carb apart and found no trash. I blew all the pieces with air and there didn't seem to be any blockage. I did NOT remove the jets but did take out all the screws and blew air where I unscrewed them from (idle, mixture, drain, etc.).
Could this in any way be an electrical issue, particularly since it won't restart after dying? I haven't checked for spark after it dies but just assume this is a fuel issue.
Never assume it's fuel, drive it until it dies than pull the plug and note its condition than check for spark,if no spark get your ohm meter and start troubleshooting the stator and cdi.I believe there is a thread somewhere on how to check the system,if not we can get you some specs. If you do have spark and the plug is wet I would check the choke to see if it is getting power and if so does it work. The needle in the choke is retracted when cold and should be extended when hot,if it don't extend to block the enrichment jet it will flood. But you need to check for spark first.
