| < Aftermarket and OEM Parts - Mini Buggy ~ crazy question (buggy running bad) |

Buggy was running a little lean and had some type of fuel restriction problem. Got that fixed and then added uni directly off carb and rejeted. Ran pretty good for stock. Then changed to 17g sliders/blue main spring/and red clutch springs. Buggy ran like a kenyan for about 5 minutes and now will not rev much past idle without bogging down. Pulled plug and it was black. Only running a 130 main jet. Dosent make sense to me that clutch mods could affect moter and carb. Just coincidence or am I missing something? Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Did you do anything to the muffler? Or just added a UNI and tossed a 130 jet in?

check the ground wires to make sure they are tight, check the coil wires on the back of the coil, check the clamps that hold the carb onto the intake, check vacumn lines.

Idling fine, but not going past idle speed without bogging or dying was the symptom for me every time I had a piece of junk clogging the intake on my carb.

Thanks guys. The exhaust is straight through for max air in and out. I am in tho process of checking wires and hoses now. Thanks for the input. Will post later with findings.

Now buggy is running good(dont know why) but now it will not keep up on fuel. Filter keeps running dry. Also cvt cover will not go back on properly. Rear pully and bell are rubbing inside of cover and it runs poorly. I have checked all nuts and setting and everything looks right. Without cover on its fine I guess that the little bit of resistance it makes a big difference. So now what do I do?

are you sure you have the clutch and driven pulley as far back as it will go?
try and loosen or remove the fuel cap and see if it will keep the filter full. is your fuel valve vacunm operated?

A few things to check about gas-
make sure u have gas--LOL
try running w/o gas cap
pull upper hose while cranking gas should come out if u have a diapham petcock
clogged petcock
dont run w/o cover, the cover gives motor strengh
see if cover is cocked in any way.sometimes breather hoses or wires get in the way.make sure clutch and bell r seated right.Did u do anything to the clutch or bell? back track your steps.Just some ideas.

Alright the rearpully is about 1/8in from casing, there are abou 3 1/2 threads showing on the clutch bolt, and 7/16 between pully and clutch. I have taken it off 3 times with the same results. Picture below.
Aslo have quick question about hose coming off top of T going to catch can with two hoses that go no where.(California emissions?) Can I cap this or rerout it somewhere else to get rid of extra crap? Picture below.
